Sunday, July 26, 2020 ~ 7 pm
This July, the Nora Madelyn Fund for Infant and Child Loss and the Providence Newberg Medical Center’s Perinatal Loss Committee will host the 12th annual remembrance ceremony for families who have lost a child or children in pregnancy or as an infant.
Due to the current public health situation, we will hold a virtual ceremony this year. The ceremony will be available for viewing starting Sunday, July 26 at 7 pm.
A link to the public version of the ceremony will be posted on this page. A link to the private ceremony including baby names will be sent via e-mail to our families who RSVP to participate.
As is our tradition, our ceremony will include a butterfly release along with the reading of the names. Families who wish to participate in the virtual ceremony will receive a butterfly to release in memory of their baby. After you RSVP, you will receive further information about this process. Due to the circumstances of this year’s event, we have a firm RSVP deadline for your baby’s name to be read during the ceremony, as well as for your family to receive a butterfly for release at your home.
Please RSVP by Sunday, July 19 by e-mail to or by phone to 503.537.1621. Please include your name and your baby’s name, as well as your phone number and e-mail address so that we can further communicate with you about how you can receive your butterfly and ceremony program prior to the virtual event on 7/26.
We appreciate Facebook RSVPs as signs of support; however, if you plan on attending the ceremony, please officially RSVP via phone or e-mail as noted above.
