This July, the Nora Madelyn Fund for Infant and Child Loss and the Providence Newberg Medical Center’s Perinatal Loss Committee will host the 12th annual remembrance ceremony for families who have lost a child or children in pregnancy or as an infant.

The ceremony will be held in the Providence Newberg Medical Center’s Healing Garden. Families will be able to release a butterfly in memory of their child or children.

Please RSVP to or (503) 537-1621 by July 20 with your name, how many will attend, and, if you wish to participate, the name of your baby or babies to be honored with a butterfly release.

We appreciate Facebook RSVPs as signs of support; however, if you plan on attending the ceremony, please officially RSVP via phone or e-mail as noted above.

We know we can’t take away your pain, but we can offer understanding and comfort.

The Nora Madelyn Fund for Infant and Child Loss provides support and resources to bereaved families who have experienced pregnancy loss or the death of a infant/child in our community.

Remembrance Walk

October is Pregnancy & Infant Loss month. Join us in October 2020 for the 6th annual Remembrance Walk in honor and memory of our babies and children.

Date TBD at 2 pm  |  Providence Newberg Medical Center
Check in and on-site registration begins at 1 pm in the Providence Newberg Medical Center lobby.

The walk will begin at 2 pm from the Healing Garden, site of the Nora Madelyn Fund for Infant and Child Loss glass butterfly memorial.

All are welcome. The 1.6 mile route is stroller and wheelchair accessible. No dogs, please.

The walk will be held rain or shine, so please plan accordingly.

Fee: There is no fee to participate in the walk.

Donations: Support of the Nora Madelyn Fund is appreciated to help us continue our outreach and community support programs, including the Remembrance Walk, as well as the annual Remembrance Ceremony and butterfly release in July.
