Remembrance Ceremony

Healing Garden, Providence Newberg Medical Center

This July, the Nora Madelyn Fund for Infant and Child Loss and the Providence Newberg Medical Center’s Perinatal Loss Committee will host the 11th annual remembrance ceremony for families who have lost a child or children in pregnancy or as an infant.

The ceremony will be held in the Providence Newberg Medical Center’s Healing Garden. Families will be able to release a butterfly in memory of their child or children.

Please RSVP to noramadelynfund@gmail.com or (503) 537-1621 by July 8 with your name, how many will attend, and, if you wish to participate, the name of your baby or babies to be honored with a butterfly release.

We appreciate Facebook RSVPs as signs of support; however, if you plan on attending the ceremony, please officially RSVP via phone or e-mail as noted above.

October is Pregnancy & Infant Loss month. Join us for the 4th annual Remembrance Walk in honor and memory of our babies and children.

All are welcome. The 1.6 mile route is stroller and wheelchair accessible. No dogs, please.

Fee: There is no fee to participate in the walk. Donations to the Nora Madelyn Fund are gratefully appreciated to help continue our outreach and community support programs, including this walk as well as the annual Remembrance Ceremony and butterfly release in July.

Registration: All participants must register and acknowledge the waiver. At this time, we are no longer accepting registrations via the Web site. Please register on-site.
