Remembrance Walk

October is Pregnancy & Infant Loss month. Join us in October 2020 for the 6th annual Remembrance Walk in honor and memory of our babies and children. Due to the ongoing public health situation, this year’s event will be held virtually.

Sunday, October 4, 2020

Drive-Up T-Shirt Pick-Up
Providence Newberg Medical Center | 2 pm – 4 pm

Register by Sunday, September 20 to receive walk t-shirts for you and your family/group. T-shirts will be available for pick-up at PNMC on Sunday, October 4 from 2 pm – 4 pm.

Our traditional pre-walk remarks, prayer and reading of the baby names will be available on video for registered participants to view. You will receive the link via e-mail.

On Sunday, October 4, the walking route will be available if families wish to utilize it on their own. The 1.6 mile route starts from the Healing Garden, site of the Nora Madelyn Fund for Infant and Child Loss glass butterfly memorial. The route is stroller and wheelchair accessible.

If you choose to walk the route on Sunday, October 4, we ask that participants follow any Yamhill County and/or state of Oregon guidelines for mask wearing and physical distancing that are in place at the time of the walk.

You are also encouraged to walk any route of any length in any location at another time.

Fee: There is no fee to participate in the walk.

Donations: Support of the Nora Madelyn Fund is appreciated to help us continue our outreach and community support programs, including the Remembrance Walk, as well as the annual Remembrance Ceremony and butterfly release in July.
